At the heart of the tool is a hardware-accelerated HTML5 canvas engine. When you load a Before image and an After image, both are decoded locally and drawn onto a single canvas, aligned to a shared frame so that every comparison is fair. From there you choose how to compare. The horizontal and vertical sliders give you the familiar wipe reveal — drag the handle and watch one image dissolve into the other along a straight edge. The circle reveal mode paints the After image inside a circle whose radius you control, which is perfect for checking a single spot such as a removed blemish or a replaced logo. Split view locks the comparison at the centre and shows the left half of one image beside the right half of the other, while side by side shrinks both full images into the same frame for a quick overview. For photographic work, the overlay mode stacks the images with an adjustable opacity slider and a set of blend modes — multiply, screen, overlay, difference, darken and lighten — that reveal tonal and colour shifts that a wipe would hide. Finally, fade cross-dissolves between the two images so you can present an edit smoothly, almost like a slow animation you drive by hand.
Comparison is only half the story; understanding how much changed is the other half. That is why the suite includes an objective difference analysis engine. With a single click it samples both images at a matched resolution, computes the absolute per-pixel difference across the red, green and blue channels, and reports three headline numbers: the overall difference percentage, the count of pixels that changed beyond a sensible threshold (the "changed area"), and the mean pixel delta. It also paints a change heat-map where brighter regions mark bigger changes, and draws an RGB histogram that overlays the tonal distribution of both images so you can see, for instance, that an edit lifted the shadows or cooled the whites. Getting images into the tool is deliberately flexible. You can click to browse, drag and drop files straight from your desktop, or paste an image directly from your clipboard after a screenshot.
