🔑 What is Keyword Density?

Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword appears in your content relative to the total word count. A keyword that appears 5 times in a 500-word article has a density of 1%.

While Google no longer uses keyword density as a direct ranking factor, it's still a useful signal to ensure your content naturally covers your target topic. Too low and Google may not understand what the page is about. Too high (keyword stuffing) can trigger a penalty.

Recommended Density

  1. Primary keyword: 1–3% density
  2. Secondary keywords: 0.5–1.5%
  3. Above 4%: Potential keyword stuffing warning
  4. LSI keywords: Use naturally, no set target
